Mike Charette
We plan a tribute to our long-time friend of excellence, Mike Charette. It will be up here soon. Here's the news that broke our hearts, as it appeared on the obituary page:
Michael Joseph Charette, 44, died on Sept. 8, 2008, at
home.
Mr. Charette was born in Belleville and grew up in Succasunna,
where he lived most of his life before moving to Netcong 10 years ago. He
graduated from Roxbury High School in 1982 and earned his BA from William
Paterson College in communications in 1986. He then received his
certification for radiation therapy at both Morristown Memorial Hospital and
at Saint Barnabas Hospital. He was on staff at Morristown Memorial Hospital
for 16 years, the last 12 as the lead simulation technician in radiation
therapy. He was a member of St. Michaels R.C. Church in Netcong, an avid fan
of the Cowboys and Jets and recently acquired a taste for playing golf.
Mike's greatest love was his family. He is survived by his wife, Johnna of
10 years and by his two children, Liv Diane and Tara Elizabeth, at home. He
also leaves his mother Diane, Sister Michele; brother Allan, his extended
family and many close friends.
